How to configure the Ozeki SMS MCP Server in Page Assist
This guide walks you through integrating the Ozeki SMS MCP Server with Page Assist, a browser extension that brings AI chat capabilities directly into your web browser. By following this tutorial, you will learn how to navigate to the MCP Servers settings, add the Ozeki SMS Gateway as an MCP server, and verify that the SMS tools are available.
What is an MCP server?
An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server exposes tools that an AI model can call during a conversation. In this setup, the Ozeki SMS MCP Server provides SMS tools such as sending messages to any phone number. Page Assist connects to the MCP server over HTTP using the configured URL and Bearer token.
Page Assist MCP server configuration
# Navigate to the following location in Page Assist to add the MCP server:
# Settings -> MCP Servers -> Add MCP Server
# Enter the following details in the Add MCP Server form:
Server Name: Ozeki SMS MCP
Server URL: http://{address}:9529/mcp
Auth: Bearer token
Steps to follow
We assume Ozeki SMS Gateway is already installed on your system and you have already created an MCP user account with an API key. You will also need the Page Assist browser extension installed in your browser. If you have not installed it yet, follow our Page Assist installation guide.
Video tutorial
The following video shows how to add the Ozeki SMS MCP Server to Page Assist step-by-step.
Step 1 - Navigate to MCP Servers in settings
Open the Page Assist extension in your browser and navigate to the settings page. This is where AI model configuration and MCP server integrations are managed (Figure 1).
Select the MCP Servers section from the left sidebar and click the Add MCP Server button to open the server registration form (Figure 2).
Step 2 - Configure MCP Server
Enter Ozeki SMS MCP as the Server Name and enter the URL of
your Ozeki SMS Gateway in the Server URL field following the format
http://{address}:9529/mcp (Figure 3).
Enable the Bearer token authentication option and paste the API key you generated for your MCP user account into the token field. Click Save MCP Server to register the MCP server (Figure 4).
Step 3 - Verify SMS tools
After saving, the Ozeki SMS MCP Server entry will appear in the MCP Servers list.
Click the + button to expand the server details and view the MCP tools,
confirming that Page Assist has successfully connected to your gateway (Figure 5).
Summary
You have successfully added the Ozeki SMS MCP Server to Page Assist. The Bearer token in the configuration authenticates every request against your Ozeki SMS Gateway. With the server connected, the AI model can send SMS messages through your gateway without any additional setup. Page Assist can now act on SMS-related instructions simply by being asked to do so in plain language.
